Thirteen Acts of Love

The action of interrupting is mentioned in Act Twelve: Assume Nothing of the Thirteen Acts of Love. 

The observation of this interrupting process in my own life has brought some interesting awarenesses.  The action of interrupting says: (it could be one, some, or all of the following and perhaps more)

©What you have to say is more important.

©You are not listening, therefore, not loving.

©You are not interested in what they have to say.

 

©In the vein of feeding your self-importance, you have abruptly cut-off an energetic flow.

 

©You are assuming you know what the end of their story is.

Loving more is listening with your whole self.  One of my clients told me, “When someone interrupts my train of thought, it feels like I just got slammed by a freight train”.

Besides the judgment of this action as rude, what is your deeper experience with the action of interrupting?

What type of feeling is evoked in you when someone interrupts you?
